During this unit, our fourth-grade students have been studying the prehistoric period in the Iberian Peninsula. To better understand the concepts, we put ourselves in the shoes of the peninsula’s inhabitants from different time periods. First, they created works of art with the characteristics of the Stone Age, similar to those found in caves such as the Altamira site. Second, they crafted tools or weapons from the Metal Ages, choosing and adapting their features to reflect the Copper, Bronze, or Iron Age as accurately as possible.
La prehistoria en la Península Ibérica
Durante esta unidad, nuestros alumnos de cuarto grado han estado estudiando el período prehistórico en la Península Ibérica. Para comprender mejor los conceptos, nos pusimos en el lugar de los habitantes de la península de diferentes épocas. Primero, crearon obras de arte con las características de la Edad de Piedra, similares a las encontradas en cuevas como el yacimiento de Altamira. Segundo, fabricaron herramientas o armas de la Edad de los Metales, seleccionando y adaptando sus características para reflejar con la mayor precisión posible la Edad del Cobre, del Bronce o del Hierro.
