Como proyecto final de curso, el alumnado de sexto participó en la actividad “Profes por un día”, en la que cada grupo de estudiantes asumió el rol de docente durante una sesión. Su tarea consistió en preparar y explicar a sus compañeros los puntos gramaticales y el vocabulario clave de una unidad, diseñando además ejercicios escritos, orales e interactivos para practicarlos.
Con esta actividad se buscaba repasar de forma activa los contenidos más importantes del curso, al mismo tiempo que los alumnos experimentaban en primera persona la complejidad que conlleva la labor docente. La propuesta también tenía como objetivo fomentar la empatía hacia sus profesores, ayudándoles a valorar el esfuerzo de preparación y comunicación que hay detrás de cada clase.
Teachers for a day
As a final project for the school year, sixth-grade students participated in the «Teachers for a Day» activity, in which each group of students took on the role of teacher for a class. Their task was to prepare and explain to their classmates the key grammar points and vocabulary of a unit, also designing written, oral, and interactive exercises for practice.
This activity aimed to actively review the most important course content, while at the same time allowing students to experience firsthand the complexities of teaching. The initiative also sought to foster empathy towards their teachers, helping them appreciate the effort of preparation and communication behind each lesson.
