In 4th grade, to learn about color theory in Art, we had a class competition! Each student chose 4 colors to mix together and attempt to create 12 different colors. It’s harder than it looks! But amazingly, when you put together the 12 colors of 16 different students, you can create a complete color wheel.
Each student not only had to mix 12 colors, but “name” their creations, as well as write down how they achieved them. Some of the names are very creative! The best part of having these color wheels in class, is that now, throughout the school year, we can reference them anytime we want to mix a color for a project. Way to go, 4th grade!
La Teoría del Color
En cuarto de primaria, para aprender sobre la teoría del color en Arte, ¡hicimos una competición en clase! Cada estudiante eligió cuatro colores para mezclar e intentar crear doce colores diferentes. ¡Es más difícil de lo que parece! Pero, sorprendentemente, cuando se juntan los doce colores de dieciséis estudiantes diferentes, se puede crear una rueda de colores completa.
Cada alumno no solo tenía que mezclar 12 colores, sino también «nombrar» sus creaciones y escribir cómo las había conseguido. ¡Algunos de los nombres son muy creativos! Lo mejor de tener estas ruedas de colores en clase es que ahora, a lo largo del curso escolar, podemos consultarlas siempre que queramos mezclar un color para un proyecto. ¡Bien hecho!
