In art class this week, the 1º students have been working on their clay bead projects.
This activity requires time, patience, and careful fine-motor skills as the children shape their designs. Each student was given eight pieces of clay to mold into beads, pennies, or other creative shapes of their choice. Once completed, the pieces were left to dry before being painted.
We began with a base layer of watercolors and then added acrylic paint for the finer details, allowing each child to personalize their designs.
The final step will be to string the beads together to create a bracelet or bag keychain. The projects are coming along beautifully, and it has been wonderful to see the pride the students are taking in their work.
Cuentas de Arcilla
En la clase de Arte de esta semana, los alumnos de 1º han estado trabajando en sus proyectos de cuentas de arcilla.
Esta actividad requiere tiempo, paciencia y habilidades motoras finas, ya que los niños dan forma a sus diseños. A cada alumno se le dieron ocho piezas de arcilla para moldearlas en forma de cuentas, monedas u otras formas creativas de su elección. Una vez terminadas, las piezas se dejaron secar antes de pintarlas.
Comenzamos con una capa base de acuarelas y luego añadimos pintura acrílica para los detalles más finos, lo que permitió a cada niño personalizar sus diseños.
El paso final será ensartar las cuentas para crear una pulsera o un llavero para el bolso.
Los proyectos están quedando muy bien, y ha sido maravilloso ver el orgullo que los alumnos sienten por su trabajo.
